Last month saw In The Driving Seat team host our very first event in the Midlands as part of the Macmillan Coffee morning.
The morning saw over 100 people attend the event hosted by Wolverhampton Cricket Club and supported by First Stop Garages and Autogem.
Everyone who attended the event were not only treated to an array of sumptuous cakes, they were also invited to allow the team from First Stop and Autogem to check their tyres to make sure they were safe and road worthy and all within just 50 seconds thanks to the award winning Autogem ‘Groove Glove’ which provides rapid recommendation for wheel alignment and tyre replacement. Which can be sent to your phone or email so you can see exactly what condition your tyres are in.
Once each tyre is scanned, a report is printed automatically at the click of a button via the cloud. It can be then shared with the customer so they are fully aware of the state of their tyres before next steps are agreed. This service is available from First Stop networks due to a new formed partnership, which is planned to be rolled out to all First Stop garages
With all tyre tread and alignment issues identified through Groove Glove, Autogem also has TPMS covered with its ‘i-sensor’ handheld device.
i-sensor is a simple and straightforward handheld device, designed to diagnose and fix TPMS issues. It gives over 95% coverage of all direct TPMS applications in the UK workshop and is instantly available, as and when garages need it.
It works by firing a radio frequency into the tyre which effectively wakes up the TPMS sensor, which communicates back to the device with all relevant information. And if the sensor is damaged or broken in any way, i-sensor can also clone a new replacement in less than three minutes.
First Stop’s UK country manager Nic Bentley said: “We are constantly seeking ways to improve our automotive offering to our network partners, not to mention their customers who visit their forecourts.
“A first-class service and a memorable first impression is what we always strive for when motorists visit our depots. This partnership with Autogem can only improve First Stop in this regard.
“Autogem is an industry leading aftermarket brand and their products are amongst the very best in the automotive industry. We believe that Groove Glove and i-sensor are amongst the most revolutionary that we’ve come across.
“We are proud to be able to offer them to our partners, who will be able to provide a holistic tyre support service like never before, solving tread depth, alignment and pressure issues within seconds.”
Rachel Smallman, founder of In The Driving Seat said “ We are thrilled at the amount of people who attending our event and all the comments from the people who had their tyres checked. Many of the people who attended didn’t even know that they had an issues with their tyres so to have the First Stop team and Autogem team on hand to show how simple it is to check was wonderful. My aim is to keep drivers safe and educated on the road and share this information with their family and friends. I want to thank everyone who attended the coffee morning as we raised over £350.00 for Macmillan”
